Hot and Cold Foods
Here are some ideas to make foods more interesting. Mix cold and heat, it is a great combination in the mouth. For instance toast some bread, then put some cold cheese on it. The affect in the mouth is great. Maybe add something with just some salt like green olives, or bacon.

This also works with Peanut Butter. Toast with cold peanut butter.

Tomato, cheese, on toasted bread is another good one.

None of these take much work but the experience is really good.

Another variation is cold bread just out of the freezer, let it thaw just a bit then add the cheese or peanut butter. And drink some warm tea. Confuses the palette put scrumptious.

Hungry  but not for a lot. Try the triple deck - three pieces of bread - half way between one sandwich and two. Again the toasting and cold works here.

The best part about this is you can have a nice tasty meal in the time it takes to cut some cheese while you are toasting the bread. You can even cut them into small squares to serve as finger food.

You can also take this hot / cold concept into other meals. I love hummus. Cool out of the fridge. Steam up some vegetables, a hot protein, and then as you eat them dab on some cool hummus before you bite. The heat and cool has a great effect.

There are a lot of foods you can do this with, it is easy to do, and adds a nice affect to the meal.
