Doug McCarron Home Made Hummus
Home Made Hummus
So, this is a basic idea that you can grow on. It is not as good as store brands, but I like it. You can always add to it also as you become used to making it, alter the taste, thickness, things like that.

1 can of Garbanzo Beans. Half a cup to a full cull of Olive oil. A bunch of Garlic, as meets your taste. Pour the contents of the beans can and oil in a blender, cut up the Garlic in small pieces and add them to the blender, and turn the blender on. Let it all turn to mush, pour it into a plastic container and place it in the refrigerator. Let it stand for about an hour. Then it is ready.

That is it.

To further enhance it get a lemon and squeeze in the juice. I also like to get a hand full of lightly salted cashew nuts, toss them in before the blending and let them soak for about 15 minutes to soften, then hit the blender. This make the hummus thicker and have a bit of a salt taste.

You can add all sorts of things. Pepper, olives, cheese, onions, avocado, vegetables, it all works.

Eat it with Pita bread, use it to top of other meals to add to the flavor or consistency. It is a cheap but easy meal to make, and is generally good for you.
